Avanti Arts Music Royalty
(Under section 30 of Copyright Act in India)
We are delighted to announce that Avanti Arts has expanded into the copyright royalty collection business, representing music companies that have assigned Avanti Arts the rights to collect royalties towards the exploitation of their sound recording works on their behalf. Under Section 30 of the Copyright Act in India, these music labels have authorised Avanti Arts to act as their authorised agent to manage and exploit public performance rights for their sound recordings. This includes public sound recording performances in hotels, restaurants, lawns, discotheques, resorts, malls, marriage halls and other venues for communication to the public on a commercial basis under Section 30 of the Copyright Act.
The above is for all public places including but not limited to hotels, restaurants, discotheques, event companies, DJs, cinema halls, shows, malls, stores, shops, salons, parlours, marriage halls, jukeboxes, railway & bus stations, airports, motels, guest houses, banks, offices, amusement parks, pubs, private shows, exhibitions and any such other public area intending to communicate to the public in any matter whatsoever, any musical works, sound recordings, or any part thereof, in any format (audio, visual, or audio-visual media) is required to obtain rights from the duly authorised agent, i.e. Avanti Arts. Avanti Arts has extensive expertise and comprehensive capabilities to expertly manage the distribution of copyrights and ensure only the authorised performance of the content.
By obtaining rights and using authentic copies of the work, you are upholding copyright laws and safeguarding the economic interests of the creators and the industry that invested in making it accessible to the public. This practice helps deter the illegal production and distribution of works, ensuring that the actual creators receive their due rewards. Respecting copyright means you are contributing to the collective effort to elevate India’s status as an economic powerhouse on the global stage.
By virtue of Assignment Deeds and/or Exclusive Licenses executed by its music labels, Avanti Arts issues licenses under section 30 of the Copyright Act, and such licenses are valid under copyright law as held by several Hon’ble High Courts Pan India.
